I'll post up my progress as i go along step by step for my use and for people to see how it's coming along.

Just picked up my new project yesterday for $1500, inside is immaculate, dash is abit faided but doesn't matter... completly standard came with the first receipt and full log books and owners manual. Out side is abit rough but i will be getting ALL brand new panels and doors and will be sprayed in either the Aurion blue or the XR6 metalic light blue. have MANY plans will be going all show first with paint, interior and get most under body parts that are seen all painted black.

I will be swaping my ca18det package from my other ute in once every thing is done to this one. I'm wanting it to be finished and on the road some time next year depending on how well i put money away with out spending it...

My plans include:
-Shave rails and water trap around the back
-Shave fuel filler and side air vents
-Shave rear bumpers/knobs/handles etc
-Hard cover for the back
-Full respray in a light metalic blue
-Full leather interior
-Custom cut down and fitted ________ dash (keeping what dash i'm using to my self until it's finished )
-Using my seats but getting them re-done in leather
-Custom Door cards
-Coil overs in the front
-Tubed in the rear
-Seem welded body
-Roll Cage
-Simmons (maybe) depending on money flow...

Then later down the track i'll do some more engine work. Going for more appearance for now but i'll see how i go once the CA18 is out.

Thats what I was going to say... sounds like your trying to make the same ute again... even to the color...

which dash? my blue one or the brown one? i'm not sure if i will leave the blue one in or sell the blue dash and put the brown one in.

mine is all cracking around the back where i took the rails off and the panel beater did a pretty poor job got quoted 600-800 to fix it from another panel beater. So instead of pulling my ute off the road for ages to do the things i want to do now and lose all the money spent on the blue one i'm starting again and will sell my blue one with the stock stuff in.
