R31 Diff into 1200 sedan

Help me!
I have a R31 diff that has been shortened, but has no mounts for the gas shocks. Did U guys have mounts welded on?

Umm yeah, you will need them
When I had my r32 diff cut down, I took my old H145 down with it and said, make that diff (R31) look like that one!(H145) The made up the required mounts and there you go. You may need to go back to the diff place and ask about the shock mounts.

and on the topic of R31 diffs
I didnt bother getting the flexible hose brackets put on cause the old H145 didnt need em, but now I starting to think that I will need to weld them on. These are the little brackets that sit just next to the caliper on the housing to hold the flexible line in place. Do I really need them?

the shocks mount to the plate under the springs that the u-bolts bolt into.

yes you will need mounts on the diff that the shocks can bolt to, like the standard ones rueby_tuesday, the brake line brackets are there for a reason You can view topic.
