I'm gonna to shoot the liberals at a party in the senate to get some rep.

I dunno yet. I don't vote for annoying leaflet handout people.

No vote for Johnny per se ......
The current arrangement works for me. When you really think about what we DO have now, it's not so bad. I bought my first home when interest rates were 13% and enjoyed the ride up to 17 1/2% I'll stick with the current rates thanks!
But for the young guys who think things will only get better than this - maybe But at least Labour will get rid of work choices. You'll end up with no choice and no work ??? Try being an employer in a fulll union/ full entitlement/ unfair dismissal environment
Good thing is, everyone gets to have a say and cast their vote for what they believe in.
Whatever the outcome - keep investing in Datsun futures - sure to keep climbing!!!
Cheers

I'm a bit surprised at you sidey, although the gst ####s me as well, now i'm used to it i find it easier to manage than the old system.I don't believe any govmit will ever let us small business operators off the hook when it comes to being revenue collectors for them. What does bother me is the prospect of all states getting together and asking thier mates in Canberra to up the GST,thats all they have to do to get it thru!
I know my business has done quite well the last few years and i rekon the economy is in fairly good nick,i'm old and have a long memory and remember when our land was brought to it's knees.
Back then i could not afford to go club racing or build a KB10___ now i can on a small budget.Go figure!

i think work choices is great, mos poeple look at it the wrong way just think if you get fired for what ever reason either you wernt doing the job you were meant to be doing or the guys an idiot and you would be better of not working for them anyway. another thing is if we didnt have gst we would still have to pay the taxes but just in another form (income tax), and yes i dont like it either but theres most likely no other way.

i thought donkey votes go to the current party in control (being on the top of the ballet paper) so doing a "donkey" vote is 1 2 3 4 ect down the ballet would go to johhny...?

I write jokes on the ballet paper so the people counting have a laugh, so that means im actually voting for johnny because donkey and void votes go to the current party in control...

on the other hand i don't want too lose my penitly rates one day because my head office decide too, So think my vote will be swayed toward geek man rudd...

but hey, there both going to do #### that we dont like one day, Just not keen on Rudd getting our country into debt like labour did last time, somthing that johnny has just cleared up....

Im only 21 and i think im thinking a little too much into it but hey.....

just my 2 cents, Cheers, Dane...

meh you cant win...they both suck...labour has sucked for a long time...but i just cant vote for Howard based on the LIES he has fed us for years...I remember 2 days or so after he got into office the orchestrated riot he caused at parliament house to purposefully demonise the unions.Im not for excessive unionisation....but that was just diabolical, not to mention the trail of broken promises hes left scince.

So if im gunna vote based upon a lie...im going greens who are lying to me about wiping my Hecs debt and seem to be the only party concerned with the environment and education...may the best lies win!

Vote liberal, not for johnny, just for the party that has led the country to economic highs. During elections you vote for the bloke in charge (rudd or howard) but after election time it doesn't matter how the party present, it's how they perform. The ALP are banking votes in the fact that Peter Costello will be in charge one day. That does not matter one iota to me. It is that policies that count. Call me biased but who can argue with the overall situation the country has been in for the past 10 years?
