G'day guys,
I've once again been away at shepparton with Skylines australia vic. Despite saturday being an absolute stinker, it was a great day. It was the same layout as last time with some motorkhana work on the skid pan as well as a short and long track out back. I was feeling sorry for my brother as his car had recently been written off so we double entered my 1200. The car performed faultlessly considering it barely sat still all day and in 35ish degree heat I was pleasantly surprised how cool it kept. There ended up being about 20 events so the car got flogged for about 40 passes throughout the day. I'm still waiting on the results to be released but I'm hoping I may have squeezed in for 1st or 2nd in the rear wheel drive class. Photos are still on the way but there has been a video compilation of the day made up. Keep an eye out for a few cameos from the dattos! Compilation video Also, I can't speak highly enough of the difference roll centre spacers make. I bought some of the 1 inch ones as well as raised the front end about 10mm and the car was so much more stable at speed and could be held in a slide with much more control.

Ok guys so some pictures have finally emerged from the day.
This is my favorite even though it didn't come out very sharp. Note the arm of my passenger bracing the roof! ![]() I'm glad the photographer captured this one! The only bad thing that came of this was that I got a DNF for this particular pass. ![]() Whoops! ![]() This is my brother rob having a bit of trouble stopping for the same gate! ![]() This is my mate's sil80. We had 3 races and all 3 were close. ![]()

While it doesn't look like many of you are interested. The results of this event came out today.
I ended up coming 3rd overall out of 41 cars and 1st out of the rear wheel drive cars. There was a nice long list of gtr's evos and wrx's below me which was satisfying. My brother came 17th and 6th respectively which wasn't bad considering it was his first proper drive of the car. We have thrown a couple of vids on the tube so check it out. In this one take note of the car lifting the inside left wheel about 30 seconds in. Dave on skidpan Rob on skidpan

love the self-adjusting rear wing
And sideways into the finish was impressive, well done!

The boot was coming up from the axle tramp due to the sticky tyres and warm weather. I ended up just cable tying it down!

Very interested, your handling seems to be well sorted. Are you running semi's? Front and back?

They are sort of semis. They are 7inch AVON formula ford tyres. They come pretty cheap second hand around here and are very grippy.
