Hi everyone...im thinking of an L18 swap in to my 120Y...can anyone tell me if the L18 tranny gearstick pops up through the stock hole of the 120y? thanks...peace...

It will if you get the shorter version of the L series gearbox.

sss stanzas and r30 skylines have the short boxes, the gearbox ends about 6 inchs from the gearbox mount....roughly the same length as a stock A series 4 speed
