Just to add some info's that lightweight parts such as pistons / crank / flywheel also contributes to the rpm limitations. Get lightweight parts if you're serious in planning to max out till 10000 rpm. And finally, equip them with good quality performance bearings.
As for the external parts, you'll be needing a high output coil / distributor and plug cables.
p.s. Remove the A/C compressor & then the pulley fan ( change to electric ), and get an electric fuel pump. Doing these 3 minor changes will improve even on a stock engine.
