Hmmm I need to ask... Did you buy a Street Machine magazine in the late 80s ...VL Turbo ....same colour... I fell in love with this colour when I saw that ..even if the 'purple valiant' sterotype was still strong back then.

I'm still not convinced it belongs on a 1200.. But those tail lights are 'rock star quality'.

No didn't buy street machine in the 80's we are just looking to have a colour that stands out from the crowd, a lot of colours have been done before, we wanted something different.
Some may like it some may hate it, but it will stand out, and thats what we are after.

What ever the colour, I think that ute is going to put a lot of the "big banger" guys and gals to shame in Canberra!!!

Finally picked up the car today and got stuck into fitting the engine, gearbox, brake-booster, radiator and intercooler. Had a few probs but nothing too major.

Tomorrow we'll get stuck into the electrical and making new brake lines and fuel lines plus fitting remainder of suspension.

the dark purple contrasts well with the white engine. are you gonna have a stand set up or are you just gonna be cruising? also are you goin to the datto meet on saturday?

Tam here, doing updates while Scott keeps busily working. Exhaust is done, he's currently working on the brake lines.
