Thanks again Ange youve been very helfull, I got hold of a ca18det box and tailshft today for $200 im cheerin about the price, The fella I bought em of told me to use the silvia 2 piece tailshaft because you can have up to 15 degrees angle from dif to gearbox where as only 5 degrees with a 1 piece. Dont know if thats true but kinda made sense when he explained it. I know I cant change unis though and mounting the centre bit is gonna be a bitch, anywayz ill let as know how it goes.

The Pinion and the Back of the gear box have to be Parallel, ie if the back of the gearbox is down 5 degrees, the pinion points up 5 degrees.

The only way they would point at each other would be if the back end is real high. . .

Might be best to talk to a driveline shop to save any complications due to conflicting advice. . .

A 2 piece driveshaft is only adding a 3rd possible alignment problem. . . Many many people are using a single with success. (just a thought. . .)

wtf? What perthute said is exactly right. There are so many variables that if you want it perfect it has to be specific to your setup ie. you cant just use the angle someone else used.

wtf is ya prob tyrie
ya always stir #### outa no where
perthute is a tosser that lives on his computer and posts unrelated crap most the time

and this time he just repeated what every1 else said to try sound smart

and why would i want a angle of another car
that is the stupidist thing i have heard

al cars are mounted different
ie my box may be higher or lower
may be angled different

and you also said angle the box down by spacing
i talked to my engineer and he said thats stupid and stop listening to idiots on these sites

so from now on ill keep the questions to basics and definetlety not listen to the WRONG people on here when it concerns safety

You dismissed perthute's suggestions as though it was all garbage when in fact it was all quite relevent.

Now you are agreeing with exactly what perthute said...

If you scroll down and see what I actually typed you will see the word "May" and a "?" at the end. What does that suggest to you? to me it means that is a possible alternative that may be worth considering, not "do that it will work"

Oh and since you spoke to your engineer, I assume you asked him about how to find the required angle for the pinion, what did he suggest?

here we go again, why bother asking anyone if your gonna just throw it back at them, your real good at that demo.
for someone who reckons they own a twin turbo v8 and a turbo datto, you really have no clue about anything!

Ok, interesting read over the last two pages.

Going to get blocks machined down to tilt the diff upwards slightly
to match the angle of the gearbox.
