hey guys i have a 1600 with a ca18det conversion done on it and i need to know what radiator to use its stock as and i dont plan to push it to much. I know its a 1200 site but you guys are the ones doing all the ca conversions.
Originaly was a 1600 3 core but its seen better days and needs an update. I think the 1600 engine bay is a bit larger then the 1200 so what ever you guys are useing should fit into the 1600.
Cheers
Todd

I was running a CA18 S13 radiator but it stuffed up.
I now have an R32 GTSt radiator, its a little higher but the core is also thicker, its a far better option in my opinion.
If you can get a hold of someone upgrading to an alloy radiator, you should get it cheap.

Depending on how you wish to run your radiator hoses either an S13 CA18DET or SR20DET radiator will work well in conjunction with the clutch fan or a couple of large thermos.

As suggested above the RB radiators are an even better option if you can find one.

If the budget stretches a bit further a nice 30 or 40mm thick alloy radiator would also be a good option. ARE have one for about $350 which looks good. Check their website.

I bought an alloy one off Ebay which I am installing at the moment. I paid about $250 for it.

I just had another thought too. I don't know what the frontal area of a 1600 is like but if it fits a brilliant option would be an EL/EF Falcon radiator set up with the factory shroud and twin thermos. These are an awesome set up that will keep a monster motor cool and they cost peanuts new on Ebay or second hand from wreckers.

Check Ebay as some of the sellers list the measurements on their advertisements.

This would be the best bang for your bucks option if it fits.

maybe try something like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Dual-Core-Alloy-Radiator-for-S13-180SX-SR20_W0QQitemZ370010236595QQihZ024QQcategoryZ102557QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I'm using a "cooling pro" ebay radiator meant for an s13 in my 120y, seems to work well

i found this mob www.pwr.com.au
they make a 1600 radiator. I already have all the pipes in and cut for the intercooler so the only radiator that really fits is a 1600 one unless i wanna repipe it all which i dont really want to
Anyone know anything about PWR
