You really need to find out what engine the MT8 was used on as they are built to suit specific engines. I bought one that was used on an an early EXA E15T and had to send the unit to Microtech for an EPROM change to suit my CA18DET. I also bought a brand new loom and the User Manual which all up cost me about $300 I think.
If the unit was used on a CA18DET then your laughing...if not then bank on additional cost to get it working!

I dont think Microtech remaps the MT series anymore, so if its not set up for the motor you have you might be in trouble.

I sold my LT8 with Loom for $400 last year.

####e, i stuffed up.
I have an LT8S.
But going by previous cars and from mates cars, the Microtechs are quite easy to insall and tune.
The later versions the LT series have a fair few more features and better control over the MT series.
From what i understand you cant get anymore MT hand controllers, but can still tune via laptop if you have a dongle and MT tuning software.
And would have to agree with TYRIE on the upgrade change of engine point of veiw that they are no longer servicing this side of the ECU.

I have spoken to Microtech about the MT series and they are no longer supported by them so unless the ECU you are looking to buy came off the same motor as you have it is not going to work.

Sorry Laney but unless it came off a CA it will not be able to be tuned 100%. Apparently you can get it reasonably close if it is off a similar motor i.e SR20DET. This is direct from the Microtech help desk. You can no longer send them back to be re-flashed.

I asked before purchasing one off Ebay and I was very glad I did.
