I found the car that i dream for a long time, but meanwhile i started with a 120Y and i got for it a gx head. The problem is i have to let go one of this things! what would you choose:

1-Full reconditioned GX head all complete!

2- Bad condition 180B SSS Hardtop Coupe with a new engine?

Please help me decide!!Open in new window

What country are you in, and how bad condition is the 180B?

Depends how much time you have on your hands to fixup the 180B.

The 180B SSS was a full import and was built fairly well. There is still quite a few in Australia in great condition. Some imported 510/610s came with galvanised panels to prevent rusting in some markets.

After seeing the photos.. Stick with the 120Y and GX head..

I've never seen a SSS with no SSS badges, and Deluxe emblems on the sides. Is the engine an L18 with twin SUs?

I hate to say it, but I woul dbe tempted by the 180B. The 2 door hardtop is just so sexy, and so mych better than the 120Y, in my opinion.

Still, I dont really know what the 120Y means to you, so its a tought call. Sounds like you put some effort into the 120Y, so hmmm nah go the 180B

Is just a question of money and time! the 120Y is almost ready to paint and put it all together, and the 180b sss is in a bad condition!

I think a 180BSSS is more exciting than a 120y, but if u dont have the money and time to start on the 180 project, better off just finishing off your 120y, of course we dont know the history of the 120y for you which counts for a lot too.
