#1 Fuel sender question!!! help :)

hey guys,

well i done the searching and found out that my fuel sender units wires must of broken, seeing as it didnt have fuel for like 2yrs lol...

the real question is: how do i fix that problem? sprints auto parts dont sell them.

Buy a used sender from the wreckers.
Or buy a new sender from Nissan.

would any other models have the same tank? eg 120y 180b or stuff like that

No other models have the same tank. Even the 1200 coupe tank is different from the 1200 sedan tank. The B210 tanks are similar, but different.

But the sender unit might be the same.

hey there is a really good place in smeaton grange,(near camden) sydney called southwest instruments. they repair all gauges and fuelsenders. there number is 46479451

Well you did ask if anyone in AUSTRALIA has one available & when someone in AUSTRALIA offered you an assist, you didn't accept his help using location/distance as an excuse. What gives?
It's only a phone call & a stamp after all.

Have you been banned from your Nissan dealers parts counter or do you have some aversion to actually buying genuine Nissan/Datsun parts? The ute was sold in Australia untill the late 80's & in Japan untill the early 90's, so the chances of being able to buy a new one are pretty good.
To find out for sure, I guess you could always try asking them.

i know one ute in tassie thats getting around pretty well last i talked to hime with a sedan sender in his ute tank. when hits empty he stil has 1/4 left.
