early A12 or the later one?

the early A12 engines had the dizzy in a different place, and use a different fuel pump, I think all the other later ( A12A, A14,A15 ) variations use the same fuel pump.

I thought that the A14/15 ones were different to all the a12 ones. Something like the finger/arm will snap off the pump and fall into the sump.

Struggle to see why the A14/A15 and 120Y pump would differ given the cam is in the same position etc. Could understand the earlier 1200 with its different cam layout maybe though.
