Yeah I did use the term rip off, and yeah it is my opinion. So what? I'm aloud an opinion, if you don't like it fine. Did you get out of the wrong side of bed? He was on drugs is a casual comment, not like I actually went and saw the bloke and witnessed him shooting up. Sorry to of offended the high and mighty knowledge base you seem to think you are. Anyway I don't really care, if you want to get up and arms about it, go ahead. Since you know everything and can some how telepathicly know that the rebuild I got was cheap nasty and unqualified, you should know that "mild rebuild" doesnt have any specific meaning and might or might not be near stock. Oh, sorry, thats in your special book.

WRONG ANSWER.
If a situation is clarified & we all end up on the same page, we all win. This is not a slugfest, though I confess to becoming a bit passionate about things at times & being less diplomatic than I should be. Mia Culpa.

Well I never intended to start an argument, Dodgeman made his point, I made mine, whatever. I'll just leave it at that.
grall3's last comment states it perfectly.
He had his say, I had mine, it's a done deal, subject now closed.

i recently bought an a14 out of a vanette that was a hm gem engine and it cost the previous owner 2k fitted.it has done 5000kms when i took it out and put it in my 1200 coupe club sprint car and added twin 40 delortos, extractors, harder valve springs.the rest is stock and it is in its 2nd season and is very competitive, and this gem of a motor is as still strong as ever.so all in all getting a hm engine would be very cost effective cheers nuts

Hmmmmm, I suspect that the eBay seller with the 120Y front guard/fender is a bit out of touch with values, but hey, it's a free market & his asking price is a bit like sex.

If you don't ask for it, you don't get it.
If he gets no bids, then he may re-list at something more realistic but I wouldn't call that a rip off, just a case of over enthusiasm & you never know, maybe there is someone out there silly enough to pay it.
