Anyone know what makes a 26,000 mile h145 diff centre whine on the freeway or when powering up?? those miles above where done by an 80 + year old and no brakeys on a saturday night. Can these diffs be adjusted in any way???

The gearset may not have been adjusted correctly. Shims are used to get the gears centered on each other.

On the other hand, if the oil was ever low, it could have worn. In this case, the whine will never go away. Just keep it oiled and it will probably keep going just fine.

My high kms diff has the same whine as the low km one it must be that they were never really adjusted properly, theyre a weak design or they ran low oil at some stage on the high kms one and never well factory adjusted on the low kms one. Now if anyone understands what I wrote you might start whining too. However I recommend a glass on wine when youre on this site or even something stronger to help with the addiction.
