I was a tad shocked by the title, thought it might have something to do with Ben Cousins driving a 120Y!?!

Looks like top fun. Alas, we don't get much snow in the north western 'burbs of Sydney.

fantastic photos, so envious of the fun.

That makes me smile just thinking about having so much fun on the ice..

You are looking so relaxed in the opposite lock photo.

Thanks for sharing the experience.

thats nuts, soo jellous, i recon we could do it on the salt lakes here in Aus, wonder if anyone has tried it yet....

If you really want to trash your car then salt racing is the way to do it. That salt gets into every nook & cranny & if left alone it will eat its way through whatever it's on in no time flat.

Salt racing requires carefull prep & sealing plus a thorough cleanup afterwards if you want a car to last more than a couple of years.

I think I remember seeing pics of a 120y coupe saltflat racer on this site, maybe even in Australia. IIRC it was a bronze-ish colour.

I'd love to go salt lake racing, but not in my streeter. Something in an obscure Competition Roadster class would be really cool

You're welcome.

I have been ice racing [big 1.5 mile road race type courses] for over 15 years. In fact I am off to an ice race today.
