Jeez , first we had Boyd Coddington die last week and now his old mate and mentor Lil John Buttera has passed on. Lil John was a prime reason I became an engineer, he built fantastic rods and even an Indy car in his garage, don't think anyone else will ever manage that..

I didn't even know Boyd had croaked.

The Boydster had been ill since Jan, he had had a stroke and his liver and kidneys finally gave out apparently. Lil' has been fighting a brain tumour...

Bummer. I really gifted restorer here in Christchurch, who built lots of mint cars, and restored cars that were rustier than you can possiblely imagine suffered a stroke, and can't work anymore. I guess you gotta make to the most of it while you can.

That it sad news....I've watched a lot of American Hotrod in my time - he had great vision for styles and colours.
