you cut out the rear wheel arches out and weld big ones in so then you can run bigger tyres

tubbing a 1200 ute is really no good unless you are going to run 17" cheese greater with the ute on its ass unless you move your rear chassis rails as the stock wheel arches only go in as far as the chassis rails so there is no real point unless you are going for looks i have a set of rear tubs that came out of my parts ute here im probably going to put them in my ute but there mainly for looks

thats exactly what i thought.
it is mainly for looks plus a lot of traction, looks like its back to the drawing board

As has been said, you can cut out the original tubs and put larger tubs in but it is purely for looks unless you either move the springs in line with the chassie rails (probably best described as mini-tub) or go all out and move the rails and springs (like Josh).
Speak to an engineer though!! Put some pics up while as you go
