After a lot of talk the showdown is finally here ...
Taken the plunge and will be competing in the first round of the IPRA series at Wakefield Park 12/13 April
The showdown will be between my mates Escort and the yello Datto .... much discussion has been had and now finally all the b/s will come home to roost
Hopefully Converted will be competing this year ...... it's been a while!
Will keep you all informed of the outcome - hopefully good

All systems go. I will be #45 for this year and the first round has the datto with a new bonnet - no black stripes! Looks naked -but stripes will be back for round 2 at Eastern Creek. Come have a look if you are out Goulburn way.

Edit: Just looked on natsoft, the 3rd race was the one that really counted, wasn't it?

Showdown lowdown ......
Not a bad weekend overall -
Good OLT race, had a good dice with an MX5 and got the thumbs up to go racing
Qualified poorly by making the mistake of going out with the first 12 of a 34 car field - talk about busy - cars all over me
First race DNF Passed the Escort and was pulling away when chronic fuel starve hit - into the pits to incur the torture from the Escort owner. Seems the new Earls fuel filter blocks quickly when encased in foam particles!
Race 2 had me pass the Escort again and was pulling away (100 mtrs +) when yellow flags and sc board is shown - 4 other cars and the Escort pass under yellow
Results show him as finishing ahead of me but he admits being lucky not to get a trip to the Stewards office!!
Race 3 and it's all on!!!!!
Passed him lap three and kept going
Finished 22nd overall (from an original 33) and 10th U2L - best part was getting the datto close to my goal of 1:15 flat - 1:15.15.
Super keen to get the new engine installed
