So i got pulled over last night for taking a corner a bit to fast. i was shakin with fear as my CA engine in not engineered. the cop was heaps nice though he had owned a datsun 1600 so he was more interested in my car than actually defecting me. they let me go with a warning. I think the datsun gods were looking after me.

same happened to me when my ute was blown, came way to hot round a corner and the cop loved the car, no defect but i still got a fine for failing to maintain control.. i was not going to tell him i thought i was in control ......

The cop looked over the car with the torch but didnt pop the hood. he seemed more interested in it that in defectin it. asked me if i baught it like that and stuff. i think ill go buy a lotto ticket

when something flies out the back of a ute when your following at 100kph can be a bit frightening if your not ready for it.
be it a step ladder, a pair of gumboots or sheets of reinforcing mesh

ive found that more often than not, a copper will have a yarn about the old datsuns when you get pulled up.

Tell you what I've been behind a ute carrying a measley sheet of corrugated iron and when that went up it was like a flying guilotine. Near enough chopped a coconut tree down.

Tie your sh&t down people. Dunno about gumboots though....

Scmhitty get a ticket, make sure you buy more datsuns with the winnings.

also our cops are pretty bad these days, so i wouldnt say there nice at all lol

u have a P plate they pull u over 80% of the time
