Hi all
After reading DD's 'Dream 1200' thread, was checking out the QR25DE engine specs and looking at the OZ nissan site to see if we have a QR25DE Navara, which it would appear that we don't.
What we do have is 2x4 YD25 turbo diesel Navara though! hmmm... having driven a BMW 525 turbo diesel in the UK (which went like stink, and got 43mpg) how good would 105kW and 310Nm of torque be in a 1200??? Removed from pushing 2 tonnes of Navara around, how good would the economy be??
I know it sounds kinda crazy, but if it could fit, a 2.5L turbo diesel 1200 could be a real weapon with outstanding economy to boot.
Does anyone know the legalities of changing fuel types from petrol to diesel in OZ? ie. is it allowed at all, or would it be completely out of the question?
