Ive just finished making the j pipe for my turbo setup got it all mounted on an other engine so i can easy fab up some suports to take the turbo weight off the j pipe and all thats left to do now do all the oil and water line to and from the turbo. The oil feed line can i just T it off at the oil pressure sender or is there a better place to feed it from and the drain just cut a hole in the sump and weld in a peice of pipe
cheers Harley

yeh seems right, make sure the oil drain is as high up on the sump as possible and directly below the turbo. I'm using a screw-in fitting instead of a weld-in one, simply because its easier.

will post some pics when i get the turbo back there not as easy to mak as i thought esspecally when you even make the tight bend at the bottom from scratch with a couple of angle cut pieces of pipe in the shape of a U would of been heaps easier with steam pipe bends

the trick is using a metal spike and you can just punch a hole in the side (up high) making sure you dont punch it in to far and damage your crank. then using a threaded piece just screw it in. once done, change oil. works very effectively if done right and you can do it all whilst its still fitted to vehicle. also beware not to have fitting sitting too far into the sump as the crank will hit it im pretty sure you have a bout 2 cm clearance maybe less.
have fun

do you mean height or how far back if its height you should fit it as high as possible or if it how far back you should put it as close to the turbo as possible other wise the turbo will not be able to get rid of the oil in it.
type of turbo might help with the actuator or are you after an external wastegate

with the oil feed line it has to have a tiny little hole my t28 uses a 1mm orifice this is to lower the oil flow and sump return must be as high up the sump as possible

My oil feed line is made from copper tubing with some fittings crimped on it in the same manner as brakes lines are made. The oil return consisits of a welded spout in the sump directly beneath the turbo, its about 20mm under the lip of the sump, connected to the turbo by some high temp, high pressure oil hose bought from pirtek and good qaulity hose clamps.
Whats the specs of your turbo setup?
I have a wastegate off a T28 not sure of the condition, let me know.

The size of the oil feed will depend on the turbo, ballbearing turbos require heaps less and will blow oil past the seals if you dont have a restricter. I got my oil feed made from speedflow gear, and they can supply restricters in a variety of sizes, I think mine is slightly less than 1mm. Here's what I did for a drain: Pirtek high-temp oil hose and a brass barb fitting.
