Does anyone know if the CA18det starter motor is the same as the CA18de one???

Also...

Difference between cam covers -
Ca18det - has raised section at breather outlets
Ca18de - has flat cam covers all the way (no raised section)

Is this correct???

Any help would be great...

I thought so too...
If there was a difference at all, I would have thought the n/a would have been a 'higher tourque' starter due to n/a's having more compression??

...Cam cover info anyone???

For Starter motors: CA16/CA18 FWD is not the same as ca18 rwd. But CA18de rwd and ca18det rwd are the same AFAIK.

The FWD and RWD are a different shape and won't clear plenum reinforcements.

The cam covers are correct as you describe.
