A friend have the citroen 1600 engine on the dyno, but the engine acelerattor is electronic.
So we cant acelerate the engine to test it.

The engine starts but only works on idle speed.

This wouldn't happen if it was a datsun.
I see now. The engine is on an engine dyno.

How is the computer hooked up?

If you have the whole engine harness out of the car, then surely you can get the accelerator sender connected to the harness also?

Interesting.

Theres obviously some way the throttle knows the pedal is moving, probably a poteniometer on the pedal. maybe you can use something with the same range , connected to the throttle body for use as an accelerator. Just twist the knob to go.
