I agree. Granny spec all the way.
My 1200 is a standard GX that I just put 13" mags on and respray and nice and tidy cleanup. I also get constant comments of how good it looks and people that wanna buy it.

If I were you I would also clean it up to look as good as new.Put some old school 13" mags on and put a complete 1200GX motor in that has some work done to it.
Talk to Dodgeman on this forum. He had a very nice 1000 that had such a package.
He can give you advice to make the 1200GX a 1300GX.

granny spec is the best option. I think that you gain so much more respect from fellow petrol heads for a granny spec build up than you do for a flashy customised car.

You can still use wild mechanicals but keep the exterior look granny spec. Thats the path that I am taking.

Go granny spec

go the sleeper granny mate.

I have a "pimped" 1000 4 dr and although it's done sort of tastefully, (i did it up when i was 16)
I now wish it was less "f**k off and look at me" and more "f*#k off and look at me GO!!!"
