Guys I'm after a H150 diff to strengthen the rear configuration on my 1000. I am still paying off some rather large bills, so I won't be talking business for at least a couple of weeks. Just putting the feelers out so I know who can help me. Thanks.

i could get you a 120y coupe diff for free it has been sitting in the weather and has seized up though you still be intrested?

How much would postage be though?

If the postage is okay and you think in your opinion that it could be freed then hell yeah I'm keen.

Anyone know what weights the H150's are, I'll work out the postage from that?

dont see it being much over 50kgs also i think it might be able tobe freed i'll have a look later

I have a centre here in Sydney you can have for $60, should bolt into your 1000 housing no worries, may need a 2mm shim or may not.

The H150 differential was used in most 120Y models here in Australia. I'm told that the 1974 models still used the older H145, so apart from these & the Australian assembled four door sedans from July 1976 [Borg Warner] they all used the H150 with the 3.889 to 1 ratio.

This was carried into 'Sunny' production [B310] & all models, including the sports Wagon with the a14 used this same differential in this ratio except, ...................
The very late Sunny Sportswagon that was fitted with the A15 engine came with an H150a differential with a 3.7 to 1 ratio. Not a big step up, but useful to know if you are seeking an increase in ratio.

Legend has it that with the 5mm increase in ring gear diameter, the centerline of the axles was moved 2.5mm further back from the gasket face & since a gasket is about .5mm thick, conventional wisdom has it that a 2mm spacer & a second gasket be used when fitting this differential into an H145 axle housing.

These also use the larger drive flange size, so if you are using the stock 56 or 56A gearbox, then you will need an unmodified 120Y or Sunny [B310] driveshaft for a drama free install.

If you are using a 1200 engine, or a mild larger one in a B10 car, then the H145 diff from a 1200 will give you a 3.9 to 1 ratio & will not need a driveshaft change, yet will still be strong enough for all but outright abuse.

Sorry dattoVB10, I didn't actually mention that I only need the centre. I'm using a Pitroad spacer to get it in.

When you said "ceased" I assumed the bolts were ceased not the axles or shaft. If you can just get the centre out and you still want to do it for free then that'd be excellent. Reading Dodgeman's post it looks like the pre 1975 ones aren't the ones needed.

Andy I'll see what dattoVB10 can do for me.
I managed to get two A10's in QLD by the way, thanks again for the offer.

hmmm pulling out that centre would be a bit of a bother and then render that diff useless unless i get a center i would rather send the whole unit but never mind i will try help you out oh and by the way would you be intrested in another a10 i would sell you the motor and centre for $100 motor just missing manifolds and tappet cover dont know if it runs havent tryed bought it at a swap meet for the price i am asking for

I'll take the head of the engine if it is out of the KB10. Sell the flat tops on eBay and stash the rest of it away. If it isn't then hang onto it because the A10's aren't exactly popular. Freighting an A10 from NSW to bris then from bris to Rabaul is too much money.

What do you want to do about the diff? I'll take it off you if it's not too much hassle to rip it out. If it'll cost then name a price.
