im pretty sure a stuffed head gasket will cause excesive blow by aswell.............edit just thought about it and it wouldnt back to the idea of your rings might be shot, maybe do a compression test.

a spring on the dipstick isnt dodgy, its rally spec .....not that my engine has any blow by problems

i do have a catch can so maybe ill check those hoses, and like you said just keep an eye on it. i do get a bit of black smoke out of exhaust but no white.

hi guys i had the same problem on my car so what i done i put a vacum pump on it sucks all the pressure out of engine so it doesnt cause oil leaks (but mine car is a v8) shouldnt matter thou

I had the same problem on my Liberty RS she had done a few kays, it went away when I wound the boost down.

Not sure how a vacuum pump works. In the meantime if your running big boost you might want to take it down a bit.

This may either minimise or stop the problem, the fact that there is still 'blow by' indicates that the rings are'nt as they should be.

Unless it is the blocked breather issue?

Dude, your breathers don't seem to vent anywhere they go into the catch can or do they vent back to the inlet manifold? For every inlet into your catch can, you need the equivelent venting. For example a hose from valve cover and one from block you would need two vents in the same size or one large one to vent the engine properly.
