after ####ing round with the gearbox as we go to start it kicks over fine sounds good but we have no spark so if anyone knows were i should look be much help

So have you just put the motor in as well as the box?

All plugs not firing?.....coil wired properly?

no plugs fireing did not touch the coil still same when other motor blow up

make sure all the wires are connected to the coil and distributor, take a lead off one of the plugs and pull back the rubber so it exposes the bit where it sits on the end of the sparkplug and put it close to a bolt and crank the engine over, if there is spark you will see it spark between the end of the plug and the bolt.

already done that i think it might be the coil not sure but ill cheack all the wires on the coil and see

to check the coil take the main lead off and earth it on a bolt as i mentioned before make sure not to spark yourself though, it can give you a nasty jolt, not to serious though,if there is no spark the coil is either buggered or the wiring isn't right. If you say you haven't touched it(the coil) check the dizzy wiring and make sure there is power at the dizzy, test light or multimeter will be fine to do this.

Be careful testing the spark. You can normally hear the spark as well. I'd say it's a wiring mishap.

With any electrical problem just start from the start, i.e Ignition then move along the circuits. Fuses, polarity etc.

Have you got the manual with you?

i found 1 lose wire on the coil now have spark but still no start i will charge the battry over night have weak spark so will update tomorrow
p.s dont try testing for spark in the rain u can get a bit of a shock lol
