Just wondering if anyone else has heard about the drags re-opening at AIR?
I have heard different things from a few people. Apparently around the 450 grand mark is or was spent on the resurfacing the whole track and they should be back open sometime toward the end of the year.
Maybe before or after Gazzanats which is usually around Oct.
If anyone else has heard anything please share your info.

Yeah thats what I first heard, but I heard today that it was resurfaced for circuit racing and not drags..........so we will have to wait and see i guess

Yeah I heard it was re surfaced for drifting etc but there was no mention of drags

So its a no go for Garden Island? I can only find reposts of various other posts here on the net, someone has said government has pulled out due to financing AAMI stadium but wasnt the funding for the new Motorsport Complex coming from a private source?

Anyone have any factual information?
