Will any of you object if I post a non datsun gearbox picture of the Lambogghini Gallarto that we have just finished at work? In it's completely assembled hue connected to the pneumatic paddle shift controller assy.

Hey rev, I wouldn't if there wasn't a better way to do it... a better way would be to put the file on a picture server like putfile then link it on here into the off topic section...

I really do hate all the posts in here that are off topic, by that I mean most of the chit chat about non car related stuff, though I do like to see things other than datsuns because it teaches us about everything else... and I would love to see the box...

I also think that there needs to be a bit clearer guidelines about what is acceptable and what isnt to hopefully save all of the arguments and bitching...

That flappy paddle contraption, whould it be possible to use that kind of setup with a normal oldschool cable shift gearbox. ?

have you checked its ok with work? would hate for you to loose the new job for breaching copy right or breach of confidentiallity agreements etc.

The only reason that I ask is that I agree with the boys in reguards to the whole non datsun anything. But some things are good for entertainment value and something you don't see everyday but some of the photo's that I have seen posted here even datsun related are just plain stupid.

I will give it a few more posts and if dd says no then I guess no but if dodgeman says no then I will post it!

I don't think that anyone from work will object. It's just a photo, not schematics and It's a gearbox that we already produce for the Lamborghini Gallarto. It's the factory casing with our internals that you can't see and factory ecu to the side and our shifter bolted to the box and some lines. Nothing that special but it does make you think about what you could do with a datsun!

Upon advice from unfamila I rang the boss this morning and got the nod to show you what it looks like. The internals are nothing new. We have produced lots of these gearsets for the factory audi/lamborghini gearbox casing. Although the lambo it it's natural form is an AWD we remove the front mainshaft and blank it so it is only RWD for GT racing purposes.
