some good idea's floating

maybe some more forums to sort the different thread topics (projects etc)
could be of benefit. and an easier way to follow threads would be cool too...

i also think being able to delete your own submitted photo's could benefit this site.
we could free up a lot of room deleting photo's we no longer need online..

but even if nothing was done. this site is still my favourite

As a new datsun1200.com member and for that a new datsun 1200 owner I think that a Project section would be great, in terms of Ideas, information and inspiration for our own projects.
After reading a few of the other members projects from start to finish its a pitty they are not easier to find.
The site as it is though is really great and informative but a little tweak here and there wont hurt.

a build up section would be great i reckon, it just gives people a bit of incentive to post their own build up. mines finished for the moment so it's a little late for me but i love hearing about other peoples build ups.

edit: whorida's girls thread about her ute was great to read.

Here Goes I'll chuck my two bobs worth in...
I think the site is fantastic and doesn't need changing. This site and it's content are a product of all our members and their posts, good and bad.
Seriously, when was the last build-up post submitted? I could be wrong but it feels like ages... Also as a member who logs on at least 2 times per day, If I found a build up thread in the main forum, as a dedicated member i'd be online often enough to be able to track it's progress...
In saying that there is no problem in adding that thread. It would be useful but I don't think the site needs a total shakedown.
As for new members asking the same old questions, there was a time when we were all new members, and even if something could be found on the wiki; it was good to ask someone and get some interaction going with the senior members.
By and large I think our members are great and DD is doing a great job keeping things in shape.
Over and out.
Pete.

I love the site too but agree that the build section would make it alot easier to find stuff. The other day I was looking for some info in Sean's 1200 race car, and I had to go through all his photos, then the search engine, and still couldn't find it.

Also, people usually post a new thread when the have done a chunk of work on the car, not for the whole project, perhaps just because they couldn't find their old thread. I know I have had about 3.

that is all
