just wanted to throw somthing at you's......do you think a L20B would go ok in a datsun 1200 ute???

hay answer u question my datto still got standard motor in cause i got tha ca18det gettn a full rebuild and i reckon that if u got tha money and time why not get a ca18det if $ problem i deffenetly go for tha l20b will go hard as they go hard with anymotor cause they only wigh 700kg

thanks for the input i agree but i spoke to a other guy and he reckons nah it will be a peice of #### making the car ro heavy at the front but the way i think about it is the motor weights just about the same as a CA18det and later on i can slap a turbo setup, yeah your right the $ is stoping me from going for the CA18det

much of a muchness Dude....... L20 is a strong engine and performer when you start to play around with them. I still recon tha dollar for dollar adn bang for your bucks you cant go past a CA18 !!!!

What it comes down to is how much you wanna spendn and what you wanna do with the car ????????????

Yes. It's no heavier than a CA18DE. See the article What's the best engine to put into a 1200?.

well i reckon the L20 should go ok the main reason im going for the L20 is it is way cheaper then the CA18det and will only cost like $1000 to install so thats pretty cheap for a complete conversion and i thought maybe later on i can dump a T3/T4 with a 45mm weber
