I would like to propose a new section for the site

Wheel weight greatly effects unsprung weight and this effects the handling so the lighter the better.

I have recently been trying to find the weights of wheels and have started weighing what rims I have.

I will post my wheels and weights on the weekend but hope others can do the same as I was quite shocked at the difference to be found.

So weights without tyres would be great

Try this

I like the stick-on wheel weights. You can put them on the inside of the alloy wheels.

Here is the new section at Datsun1200.com, please fill it up with good facts about wheel weights: Wheel Weights

yes they are good but they tend to fall off the wheel if the surface isn't really clean. I have the clip on type on the inside of my race wheels, they balanced out great.

As for the weight of wheels? well our cars really benifit from using rims which weigh under 10kg cos when you add the tyres that's almost double in most cases

well yes I had a wry grin when I saw it. The problem is the wheel is now unbalanced. If I can see where it was fitted, "Shoe Goo" (or duct tape) should stick it back on. You reckon?
