Hi guys
Just finished my ute struts driven it around the block and all is good.
Ended up with 120y struts with S13 brakes, camber tops, koni inserts and 220 pound King springs. Had to lower spring perches and cut 65 mm off the strut tube and rethread the top. Ended up with the guard lip 585 from the ground.
There was a fair bit of thinking for a dumb builder but I have ended up with what I think is a great combination.
Should be heading to Winton on the weekend and will report when done.
Cheers
Bob

im trying r31 strut and brakes with 1200 purch, spring and spring top,

even noing the diameter of the strut are differient size 1200 purch it fits nicely,

but with the lower ball joint and control arm mite be a challenge,

i have a bundents of struts, so cutting and swaping things around will be fun,

im looking in trying gazelle control arm as R31 and gazelle struts are the same

Hi Guys
I'm still happy. Did our sprint meeting at Winton on the weekend and got down to a 1.48.50 (3 secs quicker than last time )on a cold day. Won under 2 litre road registered class as a bonus.
Front end upgrade was superb (including 120Y sway bar and the 3 degres neg)
Ended up with a 4.875 diff which matched revs to track nicely.
Next time out we want to soften up the back a bit and we will have a real rocket
Cannot praise the konis enough. As the old saying goes you get what you pay for.
Cheers
Bob
