Valves for A series race engine?

Damaged one of the inlet valves on may A13 race engine last outing.
Apparently the existing ones are Volkswagen but don't know what model/engine. They are 40mm, Stainless Steel, and have waisted stems/tuliped. If I can't find out what they are, what valves have others used which would suit? Thanks

Why don't you find out how much it would cost to get custom ones made up?
Here is a place that makes custom ones to your specs. What you also can do is remove one of the good ones and go to VW agents to compare to a new one at VW.Then you can find out what model it is.Probably a 2l 8 valve engine's valves.

More than likely it's a 1600 beetle engine valve that's been cut down.Lots of sizes to suit. I've even used beetle valve springs in place of stock A15 ones when i didn't want to use twin valve springs. You can also use L16 valves that have been cut down, but you need to use lash caps on top of the valve stems to stop them wearing out, as they aren't hardened.
