Condensation will only go milky around the oil filler cap not through out the whole crank case.

Sounds like a blown head gasket. Have you been loosing coolant lately??
When you say the car has been playing up does this mean a miss when you start it up or hard to start?
This is something that needs attention straight away or you will do more damage to the motor.
