Nah mate. Many makes of cars have them on the front guards for towing caravans etc. Besides who needs guard mirrors to be a gypsy. Wow thats a flash back. Starts singing, Gypsy's, Tramps And Thieves. That was a Cher song wasnt it ? Maybe Not, Cant remember

I would prefer GX or 510 style quater mirror's, Or maybe little High mounted peep mirrors.

Its not the exact look, just an out line. I particualy like the wheel's and the stance, I like the pin stripe aswell but not sure it would work on a darkish collor

I am with you folks of the fender mirrors. I love em, and are considering getting a pair for my little Daisy 1k. Yeah the add on ones can be used for towing large loads, but they originally were used as blind spot mirrors, and were used in place of standard door mirrors, rather than an add on. Heaps of early cars used fixed mirrors in that location till they were banned due to the nature of damage to pedestrains they inflict. (thinking Death Race 2000! style)

And those window shades. Those are plain wierd, but moreish.... I have never seen them before. Are they a custom job, or a factory JDM option?

Still though, very clean example of how good they can look.

The window shades I have seen on a blokes sedan from Malaysia, it was gunmetal grey with some 5 spokes I think.

All NSW delivered Datsun 1000 models were equiped with [or were supposed to be equiped with] the fender mirrors. This was the Capitol Motors Standard for NSW. [Capitol Motors were the NSW Datsun distributor.]

Other states had different distributors & they may well have had different ideas on what constituted 'standard equipment' on models distributed in their states.

The window shades seem to have been a JDM factory 'accessory' & not a factory 'option', at least on the B10 range, ... I can't be sure about the B110/ 1200 range.

They would have also been available as an Asian market aftermarket accessory I suspect.

Personally I prefer the clean look of the front clip without the mirrors, but that's just my personal take on it.

I have kept the guard mirrors on my 1000 only for the sake of keeping it original. they add drag, dont look good, are more or less useless, and thats the reason they went out of production on cars generally even japan. Mirrors mounted on the doors are heaps beter practical except for the blind spot.

I prefer the guard mirrors for their 60s look or peep mirrors but in actual fact I prefer a big curved interior mirror.
