Well i was at jeff taylors place the other day and he was suggesting a set up A12 block with A14 bottom end forged pistons and the head off my A12 now balance everything and use a smaller turbo and a different cam

I think u need to get it dynoed properly, to find out what is actually happening. but I think u r right maybe smalller turbo less compression and higher boost might be the best sort of synergy.
Sounds like jeff is right onto it really, and yeh if the cam is ground lumpy for n/a performance the overlap will cause the air/fuel to blow right through unburnt under boost.

Yeah i was thinking of getting it dynoed but i then thought i might go with jeff taylors idea and wait till that motors done then get the new set up dynoed no use in throwing cash out the window from what i was told the motor in my datto has standard bottom end and standard cam

yeah you're probably better off getting another engine done, in the long runn you'll be better off! there is a A series that has some pics posted on this site that has 200Hp+, that was from a A12 i think he's got another engine in it now, so you have great potential, but its going to cost you a pretty penny!

T25 is a good choice for a turbo, on my set up in starts to spool up at around 2500-3000Rpm, running 12psi it boosts like a freaking hurricane! it's good fun!
