Mmmm very interesting! i'm keen to have a look at the carby. I wonder how hard it would be to adapt to a A series manifold??? thats the million dollar question!!! i would imagine it wouldn't be too hard, but you never know!
The top hat looks pretty good and its got TURBO written on it! fully sick Bro!
When you get a chance can you take a photo of the carby and have a look to see what brand it is. Thanks in advance Tyrie!
So whats your plans with it? are you going to try a A series turbo set up? or just drive it as is? or thrash the living crap out of it?

I posted this pic a few years ago now. It is a N/A KB hitachi carbie. Pretty easy mod with a drill and a die grinder. Maybe the turbo model is the same? Basically these are a newer version of the 1200 hitachi carbies. Here

yep i looked at this 4 years ago in the ute, they are hitachi carbs and will almost bolt up to the a series manifold. Only problem is i believe there were only 800 or 1000 sold in aus and there are bugger all spares for them. i found a whole set up at a wreckers, dug a hole and burreid it all in there as i didnt have $60 on me at the time. came back next day and gone!
Didnt find another one since!
Dead easy to mod to fit and is sealed already for boost! think accel cable hook up is identical to a series hitachi too.

sold already???? gee that was quick! i have had a look on ebay and there is one in sydney, complete car for $1400.
You don't see many these days, a guy i went to school with had one, he used to wring its neck on a daily basis! not as good as the ET pulsar though(or EXA for that matter) i witnessed a drag race between the two and the ET pulsar won by about two car lengths. Apparently early model EXA's come with a carby they would also be suitable i'm guessing.

haha yeh nice quick earner it was the one on ebay is a genuine white lightening with the good interior etc. Mine was just an 'S' with the turbo motor (out of no.193, came with the dash badge). There's a nicer one on SAU with front mount etc for $2000. This was before I bought it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_j60ATRw1A
