Got the original ones professionaly straightened and re-chromed for $400 each 6 years ago. They came up brilliant and still look brand new.

100% over painting silver or cheap copy

But cost $$$

You might still be able to get them new from Nissan. i know a few 1200 guys from Canberra bought new front bumpers last year, for less than the cost of restoration IIRC.

Taiwanese ones are seriously crap, rusty from new, and if not then they will be in 6months, they arent smooth and they dont fit the guards (stick out heaps each side).

dartson - does the bumper you got of nissan have a crease down the middle where the number plate goes like the eBay ones?
Plus if you could get a part number that would be great!
Pehaps we could look at doing a group buy through Nissan?
Just a thought

Just got mine sorted through my local Nissan dealer, thanks for the heads up. A cool $198 on an original one is excellent.
