it was decided that a sandblast would be a good idea to get the rest of the engine bay paint off and interior and a few heavily bogged areas aswell, this would give us a good look at what we are looking at in terms of rust and metal work to be done...

It does a fantastic job although quite expensive it gets rid of the paint i could not remove myself with the paint stripper and elbow grease method i used on the other panels.

started tagging holes in the engine bay that i no longer need to be filled :) the battery tray has been removed along with the tags for wiring etc so it will be smooooth.

and holes around my rear window aswell. previous owner had some kind of tarp thing drilled into the fire wall which created a bunch of holes no longer needed..

Some Progress shots of the mighty datsun 1200 with some awesome flares from 120fly, cheers again for all the help and pepper for some hints and ideas on fitting.

the rims are ssr casablanca's the only pair i have seen, i think they will suit the car nicely.... Havent done much progress lately as i have a baby on the way, couple of days actually!!!! Thats my other project atm

Mate there is nothing wrong with 4age powa.
Although maybe a little bit left field being toyota but i guess its how it goes not what badge the engine has at least its still japanese.

i just finished rebuilding a 4agze motor for my mates 86, they are mad engines and easy to work on thankfully. Tunings the annoying part but thats the same with every engine
