VW made a steam engine in the early 90's inline 3 (so it has the same power impluses as a inline six 4 stroke. but it wasn't double acting like a steam train)

anyway this bad boy was 1000cc made 200+hp and 500nm of torque. this engine was under no stress at all!

also so the steam cars from 1900 took about a min to reach operating temperature!

steam is the furture!

Does that mean that my datto will run more efficiently with a blown head gasket?

You will need a good ignition system as straight water is pretty hard to light & if your not carefull, you'll find your engine gets flooded easily.

Good luck with your experiments.

That's almost grounds for flaming right there. I'll support whatever idea is put forward as long as someone can explain it scientifically and demonstrate it, that's what's missing in some of these concepts.

If you mean Hydrogen, then it's probably better to say 'Hydrogen' as I'm not real good at converting what you actually wrote into what I think you believe that I suspect you thought I might guess you mean.

This 'water into hydrogen & use it to run a car' thing has been well known for way over half a century & some pretty darn clever people have had a go at it, without any commercial success so far.
I'm not as clever as them so I've left it alone.

Again, good luck.
