actually very early 120Y's have H145's...

I have the H145 out of THe Defect III (replaced with a BW68) it did have auto Tranny fluid come out of it when I drained the casing - (I was going to fit my spare 3.889 H150B centre into it... as I didn't have a H145 manual tailshaft - TD3 was a 3N71B (3 speed auto) car

This whole diff thing is just a pain!! Bert recons that the diff I took out of the 120y is a H150. If it is I'll swap it out for the coupe. It looks identical to the one in my 73 coupe which I understand is a H145. Mawler1 states early 120y's have H145's. So with all this and a definate lack of identification marks or tags. How do you tell what you have??? I have one out of a 76 120y sedan and the one in my coupe so which is what? Does any one need a complete disc brake front end?? (76 120y)

H145's have studs and nuts holding the diff centre in

H150's have bolts

the H150 has larger axles and axletubes too

'74 120Y's have H145's '75's have H150's

I have a July'74 and a July '75 120Y's

as for the front end keep it as it's an improvement for a 1200

Thanks for the clarifcation. I'll check tomorrow and if I have a H150 I'll keep it for a swap out and offload the diff in the coupe. I already have discs on the coupe. Just trying to off load bits. You know how it is
