I agree, done the SR conversion thing, and never again will i molester a 1200 too that extent again. cut chop beat, and the SR makes the front end stupidly heavy. i really need to do coilovers and some decent suspension to support it. An SR or CA is great but i do beleive you need to do coilovers and get your spring rates right too support the SR.

AY12? what is that?

I'm a definite believer.

Remember the Renault R5 Turbos of the '80s. Pushrod 1.4L (same basic design/bore & stroke as A14 as it happens) - 160bhp std roadcar spec. In race/rally spec they got to 350bhp (although I think that may have been when they took it out to 1.7L).

Electrickery has moved on considerably since then too.

he would have the most powerful a series that ever existed and he doesnt want to share his secrets????????????
what a knob, sorry its not the cold war you know...i dont believe 240kw for a second.
The thing would be a hand grenade if it was and he would be dropping a motor in every 50 miles. hopefully that will get him mad enough to get on the forum and post and blast me..id like that...

me either if he turned around said fully built metho, 36psi 10,1 compression or somthing along that line maby... but. people can change the settings on the dynos to get more numbers its not uncommon think about people spend huge amounts on little motors and want figgers. they dont realise that 240rwkw from a12 is just about impossible and if some one out there speeks up and says its possible than say what real use would a motor with so much lag and be so undrivabul

have you not read this whole thread?? it is not an a12 but an a15 taken out to over 1600 crank is not the original alot of head work etc the guy owns a workshop capable of producing great work
and the guy also owns a dyno so it has a perfect tune most of the other cars wouldnt have spent a quarter of the time on a dyno that this would have
also topgear on this site made a simple turbo setup using a stromberg SU in a drawthrough style it made 96rwkw and it only had new gaskets, rings and bearings it was only an a12 so i can see this thing making that power

converted what else is there to tell?? heavly modded engine, big turbo, lots of fuel and a perfect tune??
