hey guys i have almost completed my vanette front end conversion it is an absolute pig to fit in
 but it can be done will post up pics asap ounce i get my bits back from the engineering workshop

heres a bit of info
the lower ball joint is a press fit type so i have had to make a 10mm plate that the ball joint presses into then i have to weld it onto the lower control arm the upper is a bolt on type and the large hole in the top has to be enlarged and the previous bolt holes welded up then re-drilled to suit the bolt pattern of the balljoint ounce i have all this done i can then bolt it onto a parts car and see how the geometry is and if there is any scrubbing/locking i will be taking pics as i put it together and what not

This is interesting!
I'd be really interested to see a side by side comparison of the vanette to 1000 stub axle/upright/hub carriers/whatever you wanna call it. I'm interested to know if putting a vanette stub axle into a 1000 will lower the car or change the camber. I'll be following this thread!

very interesting indeed, i was looking at to starting to do this very soon, i'll wait for the pics and details, have you completed the set-up? how well does it stop?

ok guys progress piccy time

ok i just put it on the front of the new wagon fairly dodgy just usd the original upper ball joint and tie rod put it back on the ground doesnt make any noticeable camber changes doesnt seem to foul anywhere on anything will post up pics of the complete setup when its done with the proper parts
