so last weeken i towed home a 72 b110 coupe. it's going to eventually be built for auto cross, but right now i need it running and moving so i dont have to rent a trailer to get it to the shop from home and such. the valve cover is not currently atatched to the head (the car has been sitting for some years, not completely sure) and two of the spark plugs are missing, leaving the cylinders open also the air cleaner was off but i expected to have to clean the carb anyways.
i know this is a big question given the circumstances, but what should i have to do to get it running (barely)?

PS: i will soon be getting 3 A12's and will be rebuilding a proper engine for it

Some gasoline, two spark plugs and a battery.

Pour some fuel down the carby, just a bit, will probably start straight away.

Allen,
I think they are 6mm with a 1.25 thread pitch.
I will see if I can get the correct size tonight and post it up to this thread tomorrow.

I'm right smack in the middle of canada, moosejaw saskatchewan to be more specific. also, when i went to partsource, they said they dont carry a filter for this engine, are there any alternate oil filters for the A12? for example i use a larger S2000 filter in my integra.

i think 4ag toyota corrla filter works as the sela is a little bigger but the thread is the same. Its also shorter so will build pressure easily. CA18 also use same oil filter from ryco, z145a in aus, so any car with ca20 should fit too

i will agree with sidedraught as when i picked up my sedan it had been sitting for 2 years and all it took was a new battery and some fuel tipped into the carby and off she went. they are very strong engines. and welcome to the club

alright, thanx alot guys, i was really worried about the small amount of dust/moist that may have got into the cylinders and valvetrain from not being completely sealed off. i dont get to work on the car untill friday after school, but it should be running and maybe even some bodywork done by the end of the weekend for sure!

Allen,
Didn't get a chance to check the bolt sizes last night, will try tonight.
For filters, try telling them you have a 1985 Nissan Sentra.....uses the same oil filter and the same air filter.
