just wanting to know about paint ?

hey guys i got my car painted about 12 months ago and its magna
any way i got a new bummper put on it and the other day the the piant started to come off i was just wondering if the bumper should have primer put on it first and if it should of been sanded it was spayed with 2pac paint it looks like they have just sprayeded it

From what i've been taught at tafe. Start of with a light sand to the panel or in your case, bumper. Then a coat of etch primer, sanded back lightly, then a coat or two of primer filler, rubbd back. then ya paint and clear.

Most new plastic bumpers come ready to paint. But this means they need to be cleaned with prepsol and a light coat of a plastic primer applied, before colour and clear.

Im not 100% sure but I think you need a different hardener or 2pac altogether for bumpers.

Sorry, my bad. Just read it was for plastic. Um the surface needs to be prep'd with something different, i cant remember what it is. And im not sure bout the paint, i think once its primed, 2pak should stick to it. I had the chance to paint plastic the other week!! dang
