Like this? my box has the traditional fork
out the top but the hole wasn't cut out
it had a casting mark and has been cut after

It's not a big deal,i 'm assuming the 5 speed 60 series box has the same fork arrangement as a normal 1200 box.
You need to set it up and mark the area to be caressed,get the box out and take to it with a big hammer to get clearance.Alternately you can cut a section of the tunnel out and alloy box it over,i've used both systems without too much drama.
We had to do this also when fitting the Celica box.

nope not hydrualic they use the same style clutch as what is on the 120ys
its not to hard but id take out the motor to do it i just cant be bothered to do that
cone head if you dont mind you can send up that 5 spd of yours to me

You don't need to pull the motor out just the box so you can get a decent swing at it,or as i said,leave it all in and cut a square section out from inside with an angle grinder and build a nice alloy box over the top

Out of interest how did you go with:
(A) reverse light switch fitting
(B) rear crossmember
(C) shifter position in the car
(D) all of the above

63A comes hydrolic and cable from memory, its basically an L-series box with an A-series bell housing.

reverse light dont need with a wagon
rear cross member needs to go forward 2 inches
shifter will be the same

I was told that the standard switch position
on a 60a wont fit in the tunnell-confirm
or deny pls ( i have a coupe)
