I am trying to track down a weber for my car and keep finding they are dated 1974 on up. Well considering they didnt make the car here in 1974 what carb would I buy for my car? Best I could find was kit K8624 or K624? If you can point me in the right direction that would be great.

I'm not sure what you mean, a fitting kit, a
rebuild kit A carb and manifold kit?? Why does
the comparison of year of your car /carb matter? etc etc

The whole kit to switch from the Hitachi to a Weber meaning the carb, linkage, adapter plate ect.... I know redline makes them but the kits must be mis numbered or something for US models. I just want to make sure I get the right one.

Thanks

As all the standard carbs are interchangable, I would think that the redline kit should be pretty much universal for all the Sunny family.

Pierce Manifold has the part number for the 1200 / LB110 on adapter plate their site. They also list a complete kit. The standard Weber 32/36 DGEV will do the trick. Check the classifieds for your local SCCA region or vintage racers...........there is always someone going from the 32/36 to side draught carbs. I once used a DGEV carb off a 510 on a street 1200 and it went just fine albeit a touch rich.

It should but make sure you get the dimensions for the 4 counter sunk holes in the adapter plate...........if I remember correctly those replace the studs in the manifold. You can always get a base gasket for the carb draw a quick template and fax it over to them but it looks correct.

Ok I understand, the only reason I ask is. I emailed them asking for the specific kit and they told me it is $329.99..... About $40 more then this kit. I didnt understand why there would be a price difference if they were interchangeable.
