I doubt I'll bother coming out to the event if I'm not running. Easter generally means a beach camping trip for me. Much more fun than a car show.
I know what you mean, i usually go camping/shooting around easter time every year, but not next year i'll be there in warwick if i can get the 1000 ready.
I shot off an email to the Z-club of QLD and got a reply yesterday they cleared up a few questions i had, As harry(L18_B110) said in a earlier post its been organised as a 'social event' unfortunatley you can't just enter in the sprints or the 1/8 mile drag race, you basically have to entre the whole event to be able to compete in any of the events.
The Basic entry fee of $185-$210( depending on when you pay, early bird fees end at the end of Nov 08) covers Entry in the car display, Presentation dinner, NDN09 Cap, NDN09 bag, NDN09 programme, Stubby holder, Polo shirt, Welcome Barbecue, Key ring, Lanyard.
The motorsport fee of $130-140 covers the sprint event on sunday, you have to pay an exrta $45 for the 1/8 mile drag event and you also have to pay an extra $50 if you want to participate in the practice event on the friday, after the registration i assume, and if you take your misses to the presentaion dinner thats another $45. All up ur paying nearly $450-$500 to compete in all events, The $45 for the 1/8 mile drag event and the $50 for friday practise is optional thats still $400. Pretty pricey, but i'll think it'll be worth it, or i should say I HOPE ITS WORTH IT!!!!!
They inform me that its a full cams event, so a CAMS license is required and you car has to be comply to the usual CAMS rules and regs for any sprint or hillclimb events.
How was datnats at wakefield organised? was it the same sort of thing? instead of the 1/8 mile drag event, they had a hilcimmb event didn't they?
How did that format work out?
